Our new service delivery platform is based on EFM (Ethernet First Mile) standards. This is technically known as "802.3ah". There are two basic parts to this technology. First, the fact that it is based on G.SHDSL.BIS, which is capable of delivering a synchronous connection of up to 5.7M (per circuit). Secondly, an advanced carrier platform can aggregate many circuits, which has no loss of bandwidth due to bonding (using OAM facilities). The results are that we can delivering up tp 40Mbps of throughout on 8 circuits (depending on proximity) to your site. While we still offer "T1" comparable service, this is the new delivery mechanism we deploy for large sites with big bandwidth needs. |
